Bruce Cagenello Honored by UCONN as Individual Partner of the Year.

 

April 2, 2008 - Candace Adams, President Prudential Connecticut Realty, has announced that the University of Connecticut's School of Business named Bruce Cagenello of Simsbury, its Center for Real Estate Individual Partner of the Year at its Awards Ceremony on April 1 at the Storrs Campus.

 

"We are so please to hear that Bruce has received this designation," Ms. Adams said. "He has given so much of his time and expertise to the industry and the community. It is wonderful to see him honored."

Mr. Cagenello, a commercial broker with Prudential Connecticut Realty in Avon, has 38 years experience in the real estate industry. He previously served on the Connecticut Real Estate Commission (DCP) for 15 years, working for three governors. He also chaired the commission for nine years. Gov. Jody Rell proclaimed May 2, 2007 "Bruce Cagenello Day."

 

"I am so surprised and honored to receive this award," Mr. Cagenello said. "I am very proud to be a UCONN alumni and I'm grateful for the profession that continues to afford me so many opportunities."

Licensed in 1970 as a real estate broker, Mr. Cagenello has been Broker of the Year, Commercial Broker of the Year and received the Secretary of the State's 2003 Public Service Award. He is very active in leasing and selling commercial properties and is a consistent recipient of Prudential's annual sales awards.

 

A member of the Professional Standards Committee of the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors, Mr. Cagenello has twice served as the Association's President. He is also a member of the Simsbury Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Cagenello periodically serves as a court approved expert witness and is a former justice of the peace.

 

A resident of Simsbury with his wife, Dody and his family for more than 40 years, Mr. Cagenello enjoys doing a variety of volunteer work throughout his community.
